For those who cannot afford costly havans or wear affordable rudraksha, there are many simple, inhouse, inexpensive remedies as alternatives to these havans and you may consider any
or all of the following for protection against prayogas:
1. recite gayatri mantra daily minimum 108 times
2. lit a lamp in the house both in the morning and in the evening
3. keep a photo of lord hanuman in every room on the wall
4. recite hanuman chalisa daily at night before sleeping
5. bring sindoor from lord hanuman idol on a tuesday and keep
putting it little every day on the forehead
6. worship a small tulasi plant in your house balcony daily
7. keep seven red chillies stringed in a black thread and hang it at the middle of the entrance door
8. buy a tender green coconut full (without cutting or peeling)
and tie it with a red thread equalent to the height of the native,
revolve it thrice around your head and then throw backwards into
any river.
9. in a small earthen vessel of the size of a small bowl or katori
take fresh milk, revolve thrice around the native and then offer it to any dog.
