Asperger’s Syndrome and astrology.

Astrology of Asperger’s Syndrome

Asperger's syndrome, also called Asperger's disorder, is a type of pervasive developmental disorder (PDD). PDDs are a group of conditions that involve delays in the development of many basic skills, most notably the ability to socialize with others, to communicate, and to use imagination.
Although Asperger's syndrome is similar in some ways to autism -- another, more severe type of PDD -- there are some important differences. Children with Asperger's syndrome typically function better than do those with autism. In addition, children with Asperger's syndrome generally have normal intelligence and near-normal language development, although they may develop problems communicating as they get older.

Asperger’s Syndrome

History

Asperger’s Disorder was first described in the 1940s by Viennese pediatrician Hans Asperger, who observed autistic-like behaviors and difficulties with social and communication skills in boys who had normal intelligence and language development. Many professionals felt Asperger’s Disorder was simply a milder form of autism and used the term “high-functioning autism” to describe these individuals. Uta Frith, a professor at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience of University College London and editor of Autism and Asperger Syndrome, describes individuals with Asperger’s Disorder as “having a dash of Autism.”
Asperger’s Disorder was added to the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV) in 1994 as a separate disorder from autism. However, there are still many professionals who consider Asperger’s Disorder a less severe form of autism. In 2013, the DSM-5 replaced autism, Asperger’s Disorder and other pervasive developmental disorders with the umbrella diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.

Characteristics

What distinguishes Asperger’s Disorder from autism are the less severe symptoms and the absence of language delays. Children with Asperger’s Disorder may be only mildly affected and frequently have good language and cognitive skills. To the untrained observer, a child with Asperger’s Disorder may just seem like a normal child behaving differently.
Children with autism are frequently seen as aloof and uninterested in others. This is not the case with Asperger’s Disorder. Individuals with Asperger’s Disorder usually want to fit in and have interaction with others; they simply don’t know how to do it. They may be socially awkward, not understand conventional social rules, or show a lack of empathy. They may have limited eye contact, seem un engaged in a conversation, and not understand the use of gestures.
Until May 22 (2012), with the official release of the DSM-5, Asperger's was considered related to but distinct from autism. DSM-5 contains a new disorder that replaces both the old autistic disorder and Asperger's: It is called autism spectrum disorder.
To consider the astrological reasons of the disease we must consider Autism causing factors first .

Medically, the Ascendant represents the body or physical vehicle that you came into at birth - its constitutional nature and temperament, structure and appearance, and weak spots or vulnerabilities.  It also represents the nature and circumstances of your birth, incarnation or physical embodiment.
Modern astrology gives the Ascendant an essential affinity or resonance with the sign Aries and its ruler Mars, since it's the cusp of the First House.  And so, the Ascendant rules the body and its physical expression in general, and the head in particular.

Let us study a a chart of Asperger’s Syndrome  patient.

For the chart given above sixth lord is combust and under aspect from Sat and Mars two of the quality malefic s here. Saturn/Uranus conjunction in the 12th house and highly intuitive, emotive and forceful  sign of Scorpio  tells the story of rebel Uranus and restraint  Saturn together creating a conflict of ideas and certain obsessive habits and chores that can be repetitive .Jupiter as lagan lord is debilated and under malefic influence of saturn and mars ,point to be noted is that both the benifics are powerless and under malefic influence . Mercury the significator of intelligence and communication  is hemmed between sun and saturn and is under the aspect from rahu in aries , Aries denotes head and brain, mercury intelligence/communication ( being placed in ascendent ) Again denotes head as a badhak for the ascendent  sagitarius mercury is somewhat malefic here being lord of two kendras and being placed in kendra/trikona  its somewhat neutral so the affliction to the brain function is mild and is only an asperger disorder otherwise it may or would have transgressed to full blown autism, Moon as 8th lord is in pisces in 4th house more or less unaffiliated thus it again augurs good for the native as moon signifies mind .Mercury as lord of 10th house represents congenital problems inherited from the family.
