Gand Mool -its effect and shanti

Gand Mool -its effect and shanti

According to the Indian Vedic Astrology, Nakshtra are the important part of our lives. Indian Vedic Astrology considers Nakshtra (in which we are born), to be the important aspect of our lives. There are 27 Nakshtra in the zodiac. All the Nakshtra put their effect on human lives as per their astrological importance.

The Nakshtra in which Moon is placed at the time of birth, is called Janma Nakshtra (Birth Star). Janma Nakshtra has a great significance in our life. Therefore it becomes very important to know the effects of Nakstra on the different aspects of the life like health, wealth, prosperity etc. In general, there a detail study of the Nakshtra is available in different astrological books but here, I will write about the Gand Mool Nakshtras.

What is Gand Mool ?

When a child takes birth his father goes to an Astrologer to find out the astrological details. Astrologer makes the horoscope and tells important things to Native’s father. Sometimes Astrologer says that child has taken birth in Gand Mool Nakshtra. What is this Gand Mool?

As we know that there are 27 Nakshtra in total. Out of these six Nakshtra ruled by Mercury and Ketu are called Gand Mool Nakshtras. They are 1. Aswani 2. Jyestha 3. Magha 4. Ashlesha 5. Moola 6. Revati. If the natal Moon in the horoscope of a child is in one of these Nakshatras, the child is said to be born in Gand Mool Nakshatras. According to many astrologers and astrological books the child born in these Nakshtra is inauspicious. They suggest the Shanti Prayog of the Nakshtra after 27 day when same Nakstra repeats.

Effects of Moola Nakshtra

Every Nakstra has four parts, called the legs (Charan). Legs of a Nakshtra are nothing but it is the four equal time periods of the Nakshtra. That can be easily calculated by dividing the full time period of a Nakshtra by four. There are different effects of these Nakshtra leg wise on the natives, the following table shows it

Sl No Name  of Nakshtra Legs Effect
1.Aswani1Miseries to Native Father

Some astrologer says that Gand Moola is an Astrological myth. I am not agreeing with them. In my experience I found that Native had the health problems in his childhood if he took birth in these Nakshtra. If a native of Gand Moola Nakshtra survives , he is found to be more intelligent compared to other children. We have examples of Saint Tulasidas and Saint Kabir das. In addition to this I have experiences of analyzing the horoscopes of Many Gand Moola born Natives where I found that if there is any Aristi (Danger to life) in horoscope like Pataki Aristi than theses natives Aristi is further intensified by the Gand Moola Nakstra.

I summarize that , if a native born in any of these Nakshtra a shanti karm is suggested on the day when same Nakshtra is repeated. Shanti karma may include Shivarchan, Homam of the ruler of Nakstra and full procedure of Mool shanty Prayog. It is suggested that this shanti Vidhan is very necessary as a effective remedy to overcome the ill effects of Gand Moola Nakshtra.

Gand Mool Nakshatra -

Nakshatras ruled by Mercury and Ketu – Ashlesh, Mool, Revati, Jyesth and Ashwani are called Gand Mool nakshatras. If the natal Moon in the horoscope of a child is in one of these Nakshatras, the child is said to be born in Gand Mool Nakshatras.

According to astrologer, child born in these nakshatras is inauspicious and faces various obstacles and problems in life, therefore on the 27th day, pooja should be performed. Some are also of the view that newly born child is inauspicious to the near relatives like maternal uncle, father, mother etc.

Some astrologers have difference in views according to them – Mool, Jyesth and Ashlesha are more inauspicious.’Jyotish Tatwa’ states that starting 5 hours of Ashwini, magha and Moola and ending 5 hours of Moola, Jyeshth and Ashlesha are called “Gand Mool Nakshatras”.

Some have the views that if the child is born in such Nakshatras, it signifies death of cattle, bad by heart, bad for maternal uncle, bad for elder brother, bad for spouse, death of father and death of mother etc.

Praying Lord Shiva by taking bath in the morning and worshiping him will reduce the expected bad effects and make everything alright in due course of time. You have to continue this worhip till the end of this year and from next year you will have good time.
