Rahu and Moksha
Astrologers associate Ketu with spirituality and moksha (When the soul meets the source and merges with the same ) While they associate Rahu with desires and Materialism. In most classics where they mention Rahu exposition subject to certain conditions, they hint that result of Ketu will be similar. Astrologers are rather quick to embrace Ketu as moksha oriented without considering Rahu that is always placed in 7th from it and the other associated factors that make one lean or adopt spirituality while considering the moksha factor. Can a stand-alone planet Ketu in 12th the house attributed to moksha signification promise MOKSHA? The question is how does one achieve moksha - Moksha has been defined not merely as the absence of suffering and release from bondage to saṃsāra, various schools of Hinduism also explain the concept as the presence of the state of paripurna-brahmanubhava (the experience of oneness with Brahman, the One Supreme Self), a state of knowledge, peace, and bliss.[14] For example, Vivekachudamani - an ancient book on moksha, explains one of many meditative steps on the path to moksha, as:
जाति नीति कुल गोत्र दूरगं
नाम रूप गुण दोष वर्जितम् |
देश काल विषया तिवर्ति यद्
ब्रह्म तत्त्वमसि भाव यात्मनि ||२५४||
Beyond caste, creed, family, or lineage,
That which is without name and form, beyond merit and demerit,
That which is beyond space, time, and sense-objects,
You are that God himself; Meditate this within yourself. ||Verse 254||
— Vivekachudamani, 8th Century AD[15]
The second question has a very specific answer can Moksha be achieved by a living person, the answer is no.
So its' achievement of the soul, the very progress it has made on the domain to meet the source the Brahman, Can a standalone headless node represent Moksha, Partly yes there have to be the other factors, the self-sacrifice trait of Rahu is required, its single-minded focus, intensity, intuitive precise logical and analytical faculties are needed, the moral righteousness of Jupiter, the regeneration or detachment from the Bhogas , Venus ( indulgent tendencies), Venus signifies the Mrit Sanjivini or to be reborn to start afresh this may not mean actual death but a new beginning within the life span, Without the austerities of Saturn we cannot learn detachment, without intellect (Budhi) Mercury, we cannot initialize and conclude, Without the mind power we cannot hope to control the senses and vices. Now the question seems to hurled back at us why Ketu, The answer is it's headless and therefore be considered to be detached from everything. Why the 12th house because it represents the final resting place of the soul but the soul will only accrue after the destruction of physical matter the physical body in the 8th house, the 4th is the mind if we have restraint and power we can perhaps train our mind and senses so the 4th house, this completes the moksha trine the 4th, the 8th, and the 12th. So dear readers do not believe that a standalone Ketu in 12th promises you the Moksha until you analyze all the relevant factors including Rahu.
