The use of nakshatras only for perdiction can accumulate sin.
So it is said one who just talks of nakshatras, accumulates many sins. ( jataka saradeep)One who knows the sidhant(principles) can reduce the effects of ten-day of Sin, one who knows tantra can reduce three days of sin, one who knows about Karan(One half of tithi) and bhagana( revolutions of planets)can reduce the effect of sins by one day. The one who just informs of tithi and nakshatra actually accumulates the sins. But Jyotish shastra is full of virtues, planets and nakshatras are witnesses to it. One who knows Jyotish can pierce through the solar system and attain a heavenly abode. ( jataka Sardeep)
