Strong Lagna Lord:
(a) When Lagna lord is in a good house such as Kandra.
(b) When Lagna Lord is in exaltation, own or friendly sign.
(c) When Lagna Lord occupy good vcrgas.
(d) When Lagna Lord gets directional strength.
(e) When Lagna Lord is aspected by benefics.
(f) When Lagna Lord is associated with benefics.
(g) When Lagna Lord is hemmed (surrounded) by benefics.
(h) When Lagna is Retrograde. On this there is difference of opinion among the astrologers and I shall be glad to have the opinion of readers and lovers of astrology whether Retrograde planet gets more strength or becomes weak or has normal strength except that it effects the previous house also.
(i) When Lagna Lord is well placed from the Lagna. (Placement of the Lagna Lord in 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th 9th and 11th from Lagna is considered beneficial in general
(j) When Lagna Lord is well placed from the Dasha Lord, i.e., the planet whose dasha (Period) is running at a particular time.
(k) When Lagna Lord is in a friendly Nakshtra. Weak Lagna Lord
(a) When Lagna Lord gets to either of the Trik Houses, i.e., 6th, 8th or 12th.
(b) When Lagna Lord is in inimical sign.
(c) When the Lagna Lord happens to occupy the fag end of sign, i.e., between 26 degrees and 20 minutes to 30 degrees or at the start of a sign, i.e., between 00.00 degrees to 3.20 degrees.
(d) When Lagna Lord is in the same sign as the Sun and is cumbust. (For details regarding combustion—See S.P. Pahwas' book on Aswini Nakshtra).
(e) When the Lagna Lord occupy a house opposite to the one in which he gels directional strength, i.e., the Sun in the 4th house as the Sun gets directional strength in the 10th house.
(f) When the Lagna Lord is aspected by malefies.
(g) When the Lagna Lord is associated with malefics.
(h) When the Lagna Lord is hemmed (surrounded) by malefics.
(j) When the motion of the Lagna Lord is abnormal—too fast, too slow, stationary etc. (j) When Lagna Lord occupy bad houses, i.e., 3, 6, 8, 12. (k)
When Lagna Lord is enemy to the main Dasha Lord.
(l) When Lagna Lord is badly placed from the main Dasha Lord.
(m) When Lagna Lord occupy inimical Nakshtra.
