English Translation (Refined
& Simplified)
If Venus (Bhṛgu) and Saturn
(Arka) are placed in exaltation, own sign, or Vargottama (same sign
in divisional charts), and both are strong yoga-producing planets, then when
their Mahadasha–Antardasha operate together, even a king or a wealthy
person becomes poor and inactive, like a beggar.
However, if one of them is strong
and the other weak, the results are positive and beneficial.
If both are weak, and they are
placed in 6th, 8th, or 12th houses from each other, or conjoined with
lords of these houses from the ascendant, then surprisingly they give happiness,
pleasures, and prosperity.
If one is lord of a benefic house
and the other of a malefic house, they still combine to give great happiness.
Thus, whenever Venus and Saturn
are related, their Mahadasha–Antardasha generally produce yogic results
(auspicious outcomes). The phrase “vyatyayena viśeṣeṇa” indicates
that in some exceptional cases, the results may reverse—meaning Saturn’s
sub-period in Venus’s Mahadasha or vice versa can sometimes bring intense
challenges instead of blessings.
Simplified Explanation
Strong Venus + Strong Saturn → paradoxically poverty,
inactivity, loss of wealth.
One strong + one weak → good results, prosperity.
Both weak, in 6/8/12 relation or linked with 6/8/12 lords
→ give happiness and pleasures.
One benefic lord + one malefic lord → still
auspicious, great happiness.
General rule → Venus–Saturn connection in
Mahadasha–Antardasha gives yoga (auspicious results).
Exception → Sometimes reversed effects due to special
conditions (vyatyayena viśeṣeṇa).
