house (bhāvanāyaḥ) is placed in an enemy’s sign, or in the 6th, 8th, or 12th (iṣṭa,
pha, randhra = 6th, 8th, 12th), or if a dusthāna lord occupies that house —
then learned astrologers declare the destruction (nāśa) of that bhava. However,
if that house is aspected by benefic planets (śubhekṣitaḥ), the outcome changes
— the destruction is nullified, and good results may manifest instead.”
