Jyotish and astrology are full of false proponents of hope, who thrive on the threads of hope of gullible hopeful natives, by providing a plethora of remedies that keep their wallets full and imagination running berserk in search of mischief and nonsense which they call remedy.
The argument, given in the favor of such a deluge of nonsense is that it works and is, in fact, a panacea. Perhaps all of you remember the baba who was in the limelight a few years down the line and the remedies he dished out were considered to be absurd and taxing on the mind. ( Remember the green and red chutney ( sauce Remedy) , My point is that he had millions of followers and there were thousands of testimonials on his sponsored live shows.
So you should not buy this argument that it works even if they provide few testimonials. A stopwatch also gives the correct time two times in 24 hours.
So when the pied pipers of hope play their panacea remedy pipe, do not follow them to a sad end where you lose a few thousand and only then end up somewhat wiser.
Remedies cannot alter the course of destiny, you will have to endure. Lord Ram Was a Vishnu avatar and yet had to endure exile, war, and extreme hardships, his guru once sought his help to destroy the demons, now consider this why would a competent sage not blow away the menace of demons with few incantations of Maran mantra. This is because destiny cannot be altered until nature or God decides so.
Then what is the purpose and design of remedies, the purpose of remedies is to influence the mind and create hope, strength, and determination, through better thought and decisions?
Sage Prashar in BPHS enumerates three remedial measures Jap, havan, and Daan. Jap ( recitation ) Havan(fire rituals) Daan(Donations) all three create positivity and better-thinking possibilities in times of adversities.
