The 2nd–11th Link
2nd house: Wealth, speech, family resources.
11th house: Gains, fulfilment of desires, networks.
When these two houses are linked (by lordship, aspect, or conjunction), the chart shows a direct flow of resources into gains.
Classical texts often say: “Dhanayoga is formed when the 2nd and 11th connect” — because the 2nd generates wealth and the 11th multiplies it.
It’s a straightforward prosperity yoga.

9th house: Fortune, dharma, blessings, higher wisdom.
10th house: Karma, profession, status, action.
When unblemished (strong lords, benefic aspects), this yoga gives huge impetus — fortune directly supports action, leading to high status and success.
Even when blemished (malefic influence, weak lords), the yoga still provides basic comforts because dharma (9th) and karma (10th) are inherently stabilizing.
This is why many classics say: “The 9th and 10th together form the Dharma-Karmādhipati Yoga” — one of the most celebrated yogas for rising in life.
The 2–5–9–11 Link with Jupiter
2nd (wealth), 5th (intelligence, purva-puṇya), 9th (fortune), 11th (gains) — when these houses are connected, they form a multi-channel prosperity circuit.
Jupiter’s involvement (as lord, aspect, or placement) magnifies this yoga because Jupiter is the natural significator of wealth, wisdom, and expansion.
This combination is often described as producing lifelong riches, since it ties together:
Resources (2nd)
Creative intelligence and merit (5th)
Fortune and blessings (9th)
Gains and fulfilment (11th)
Jupiter ensures that wealth is not just material but also sustained by dharma and wisdom.
