Sudarshan Chakra – Simple Explanation
The Sudarshan Chakra method is a way of analyzing a
horoscope by rotating the chart around three key centers:
Ascendant (Lagna) → represents the body and overall
life.
Sun → represents the father, soul, vitality.
Moon → represents the mother, mind, emotions.
Instead of only judging planets from the Ascendant,
Sudarshan Chakra looks at each of these three as if they were the Lagna.
From Ascendant Lagna, we see health, personality, and
general life.
From Sun Lagna, we see father, authority, vitality.
From Moon Lagna, we see mother, emotions, and mental
well-being.
The principle is: A planet’s placement must be judged
from all three centers. If a planet is in a difficult house (like 6th, 8th,
or 12th) from all three, the affliction is stronger. If benefics support
from at least one center, the effect is softened.
Example: Saturn, Mars, Rahu in 6th Houses
Saturn in 6th from Sun → This weakens vitality and
fatherly support. It can show struggles with health, obstacles, or chronic
issues connected to father’s side.
Mars in 6th from Moon → This agitates the mind and
motherly influence. It can show emotional stress, maternal health issues, or
quarrels affecting peace of mind.
Rahu in 6th from Ascendant → Rahu in 6th can
sometimes give ability to fight enemies, but in childhood or health context it
often shows unusual diseases, hidden enemies, or karmic struggles with health.
Combined Outcome (Sudarshan Chakra view):
Since all three key centers (Sun, Moon, Ascendant)
have malefics in their 6th house, the overall theme is lack of health, obstacles,
and vulnerability to disease.
The body (Ascendant) is afflicted → physical health
issues.
The mind (Moon) is afflicted → emotional stress,
maternal troubles.
The soul/vitality (Sun) is afflicted → weakened
immunity, father’s struggles.
Thus, the Sudarshan Chakra confirms a triple affliction,
making health a major area of concern unless benefics strongly intervene
elsewhere.
Sudarshan Chakra = judging chart from three centers
(Ascendant, Sun, Moon).
Malefics in 6th/8th/12th from all three → strong affliction.
Benefics in trines (1, 5, 9) or quadrants (1, 4, 7, 10) from
any one center can reduce the harm.
In example, the triple 6th-house malefic placements point to
health struggles and obstacles in life, especially in early years.

Interpretation
Triple 6th-house placements → All three centers
(Ascendant, Sun, Moon) are afflicted by malefics in their respective 6th
houses.
Ascendant afflicted (Rahu) → Physical health issues,
karmic diseases.
Sun afflicted (Saturn) → Weak vitality, father’s
struggles.
Moon afflicted (Mars) → Emotional stress, maternal
troubles.
Together, this shows a theme of health struggles,
obstacles, and parental afflictions. Benefic support (like Jupiter or Venus
in trines/quadrants) would be essential to reduce the severity.
How Sudarshan Chakra Works (Simplified)
Take Ascendant, Sun, and Moon as separate Lagnas.
Judge houses from each:
6th, 8th, 12th → affliction, disease, obstacles.
1st, 4th, 7th, 10th → strength, stability.
5th, 9th → blessings, protection.
Combine results:
If malefics repeat affliction across all three → strong
negative outcome.
If benefics support in at least one → relief and protection.
