Aesthetic surgery and Astrology.

Astrology of Cosmetic Surgery

Cosmetic Surgery
Cosmetic surgery is a unique discipline of medicine focused on enhancing appearance through surgical and medical techniques. Cosmetic surgery can be performed on all areas of the head, neck and body. Because treated areas function properly but lack aesthetic appeal, cosmetic surgery is elective.
Plastic surgery is defined as a surgical speciality dedicated to reconstruction of facial and body defects due to birth disorders, trauma, burns, and disease. Plastic surgery is intended to correct dysfunctional areas of the body and is re constructive in nature.

Aesthetic surgery-- surgery in which the principal purpose is to improve the appearance.

Astrological Factors-

Planet Venus for beauty and aesthetics.
Planet Mars for surgery.
Planet ketu as it acts like Mars.
Planet moon the feminine planet and as it signifies the mind the main siginificator or trigger here to build up the urge.
Signs- Signs will be as per the body part where surgery is to performed ,foe eg  cancer and planet moon for breast upliftment for women.

The chart belongs to a well known lady who had a aesthetic surgery done on her breast in dasha  of Venus -mercury-moon . Venus is natural karka of beauty and aesthetics ,here it happens to the lord of 4th the breasts  its placed in sign cancer as dispositor of moon in the first house representing the physical body and head as per body parts ,therefore she went ahead with the surgery. Lord of 6th  jupiter is conjunct ,lagna lord moon and lord of 5th and 10 th and karak for surgery Mars.Mercury the bhukti lord is in star of mars and lord of 12th ( hospitals) and 3rd courage and determination. The Dasha sequence here invariably points at the aesthetic surgery that was performed to correct a slight problem.

Thalassemia and Astrology.

Astrology of Thalassemia
File:Autorecessive.svg

Thalassemia- Thalassemia is a blood disorder passed down through families (inherited) in which the body makes an abnormal form of haemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen. The disorder results in excessive destruction of red blood cells, which leads to anaemia.

Thalassemia is caused by variant or missing genes that affect how the body makes haemoglobin. Haemoglobin is the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen. People with thalassemia make less haemoglobin and fewer circulating red blood cells than normal, which results in mild or severe anaemia. Thalassemia will be present as microcytic anaemia which may be differentiated from iron deficiency anaemia using the mentzer index calculation.
Thalassemia can cause significant complications, including iron overload, bone deformities and cardiovascular illness. However this same inherited disease of red blood cells may confer a degree of protection against malaria, which is or was prevalent in the regions where the trait is common. This selective survival advantage on carriers (known as heterozygous advantage) may be responsible for perpetuating the mutation in populations. In that respect, the various thalassemias resemble another genetic disorder affecting haemoglobin, sickle-cell disease

CAUSES

Hemoglobin is made of two proteins: Alpha globin and beta globin. Thalassemia occurs when there is a defect in a gene that helps control production of one of these proteins.
There are two main types of thalassemia:
  • Alpha thalassemia occurs when a gene or genes related to the alpha globin protein are missing or changed (mutated).
  • Beta thalassemia occurs when similar gene defects affect production of the beta globin protein.
Alpha thalassemias occur most commonly in persons from southeast Asia, the Middle East, China, and in those of African descent.
Beta thalassemias occur in persons of Mediterranean origin, and to a lesser extent, Chinese, other Asians, and African Americans.
There are many forms of thalassemia. Each type has many different subtypes. Both alpha and beta thalassemia include the following two forms:
  • Thalassemia major
  • Thalassemia minor
You must inherit the defective gene from both parents to develop thalassemia major.
Thalassemia minor occurs if you receive the defective gene from only one parent. Persons with this form of the disorder are carriers of the disease and usually do not have symptoms.
Beta thalassemia major is also called Cooley's anemia.

SYMPTOMS

The most severe form of alpha thalassemia major causes stillbirth (death of the unborn baby during birth or the late stages of pregnancy).
Children born with thalessemia major (Cooley's anaemia) are normal at birth, but develop severe anaemia during the first year of life.
Other symptoms can include:
  • Bone deformities in the face
  • Fatigue
  • Growth failure
  • Shortness of breath
  • Yellow skin (jaundice)

Persons with the minor form of alpha and beta thalassemia have small red blood cells (which are identified by looking at their red blood cells under a microscope), but no symptoms.

Combinations for Renunciation as per Kalyana Varmas Saravali.

Combinations for Renunciation as per  Kalyana Varmas Saravali

Combinations For Renunciation

1. Various sages have explained widely the combinations of four, or more planets producing an ascetic. I now explain below such of the Yogas.
2.  One born with the conjunction of the Sun, the Moon, Venus, Jupiter and Mars; or the Luminaries, Mercury and Mars; or the Sun, Mars, Saturn, Mercury and Venus becomes an ascetic.
3. The native having the combination of Mars, the Luminaries (i.e. the Sun and the Moon), Mercury and Jupiter; or the Luminaries, Saturn and Mercury; or the Luminaries, Mars and Saturn takes to renunciation and become a mendicant.
4. The Sun, Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury-being together, or Mars, the Sun, Mercury and Jupiter joining denotes a mendicant.
5. Should Venus, the Sun, Mars and Saturn; or Jupiter, Mars, the Sun and Saturn; or Mars, the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn with strength be in conjunction at birth, native takes to asceticism.
6. One will be initiated into a religious vow, if anyone of the following group of planets be found together at birth: d) Mars. Saturn, Mercury and Jupiter; 2) Mars, Saturn Mercury, the Sun and
Venus; 3) the Luminaries, Mars Saturn and Venus.
7. One becomes a mendicant to live in forests and hilly areas, if the planets group themselves in conjunction at birth, as under: 1) Venus, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and the Sun; 2) Mars, the Moon, Jupiter, Mercury and Saturn; 3) Venus, Mercury, Saturn, the Moon and Mars.
8. The native will become a sage, giving up (even) his food and be honoured by the people, if the heavenly bodies form conjunction, as under: 1) The Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and the Sun; 2) The Luminaries, Mercury, Venus and Mars.
9. The native will be initiated into a religious vow, if 1) the Luminaries, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter
and Saturn, or 2) The Moon, Mars, Saturn, Mercury, Jupiter and the Sun, or 3) Mars, the Luminaries, Saturn, Venus and Mercury, join together at birth.
10. A famous sage is indicated by the combination of 1) the Luminaries, Jupiter, Saturn and Venus, or 2) Venus, the Luminaries, Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury.
11. Note the conjunction of the following planets: 1) Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and the Sun. 2) Venus, the Luminaries, Saturn, Jupiter and Mercury. It indicates an ascetic.
12. If conjunction is found among the planetary group, viz. 1) the Luminaries, Jupiter and Saturn;2) Saturn, the Luminaries and Venus; 3) Sun, Mercury, Mars and Jupiter, the native will become an ascetic living on roots and fruits.
13. The native will become an ascetic with bark garments, if Mars, the Sun, Mercury and Venus are found together at birth. The same effect follows the conjunction of Mars, the Moon,Jupiter and Mercury.
14. A patient ascetic (awaiting the blessing of the Supreme) is indicated by either the combination of the Moon, Mercury, Mars and Saturn, or of Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.
15. A sage living only by eating fruits is denoted by the combination of the Luminaries, Venus and Mercury; or Mars, Mercury, Venus and Saturn; or Saturn, the Moon, Jupiter and Venus.
16. An ascetic, who will be highly honourable, living in forests, is denoted by each of the under mentioned  planetary  conjunctions:  1)  The  Sun,  Mars,  the  Moon  and  Venus,  2)  the Luminaries, Mars and Mercury, 3) Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and the Sun, 4) Venus, Jupiter, the Moon and Mars.
17. Find the planets together in individual groups, as under 1) Venus, Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, 2) the Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Venus, 3) The Luminaries, Mars, Mercury
and Jupiter. The result is, that the ascetic will be sorrowful (Unsuccessful mendicant).
18. Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Venus and Mercury with strength, or Saturn, the Sun, Mercury, the Moon and Mars with strength in conjunction produce one with clotted hair and bark-garments.
19. The Luminaries, Mercury, Mars and Venus, or the Luminaries, Mars, Jupiter, Venus, if be together, the native certainly will become an ascetic.
20. If the Sun denotes asceticism (i.e. being the strongest in the Yoga), there will only be faith in the religious order, while competence (to fulfil the order) will lack. If the planet,
contributing to such order is overpowered by another planet (i.e. in eclipse, planetary war etc.) the native will give up the order after being initiated into it. Should many planets denote such an order, there may be many kinds of religious orders, but these will depend on the order of the planet.
21. If the planet indicating asceticism is combust in the Sun, or is aspected by another heavenly body, the native will only have an earnest desire to be initiated into the religious order, but will not attain fruition of his aim. So say Yavanas.
22. The native will attain religious order, if the Moon, posited in a decanate of Saturn, is aspected by Mars and Saturn. The same effect is produced, if the Moon occupies the Navansa of Aries/Scorpio in aspect to Saturn.
23. If the Lord of the Moon Sign receives the sole aspect of Saturn (i.e. unaspected  by others than Saturn), one will enter religious order. Even in this context, the earlier Yogas, if present will only prevail.
24. If the Lord of the Moon Sign, bright with rays, lends his aspect to Saturn, while Saturn is in an Angle, the native will lose his fortunes only to enter into a religious order.
25. If one among the Sun, the Moon and Jupiter be devoid of strength and occupy the Ascendant, or the 10th, or the 12th in aspect to strong Saturn, the native will become distressed ascetic.
26. Should the Moon with strength be in the 10th, falling in a benefics Navansa, while others occupy their exaltation marks and all being in aspect to strong Saturn, the native will become the Lord of the earth to only become an ascetic.
27. If waxing Moon, with superior strength, aspects the Ascendant Lord, the latter being bereft of strength and being alone (in that Rasi), the native will be devoid of wealth and own men, be miserable, sorrowful, will take to asceticism and will obtain his food with great inconvenience.
28. One will become a religious mendicant, if Saturn occupying a benefics Navansa aspects others including the Moon. The Moon in this case should only be in Aquarius Navansa.
29. If the Lord of the Moon Sign aspects all the other planets, while these are all together in one Rasi, the native will become an ascetic.
30. The Sun rules the ascetics of the following orders: Those, who worship the Fire God in forests, or on river banks, those, who worship (the omnipotent) Sun-God, Elephant -faced Ganesa and His benevolent mother Parvati, those, who recite the hymns of Gayatri (which are very sacred), those, who are vowed to bathe in the sacred Ganges everyday and those, who maintain (absolute) celibacy.
31. The religious order belonging to the Moon attracts the following various persons: Those disciples, who smear their bodies with sacred ashes, those, who worship the Feet of Lord Shiva,
those, who are abandoned by the society, those, who are devoted to Bhagavati, those, who give up company of others, those, who take to Soma Siddhanta and those, who carry bowls in their hands (for
begging alms).
32. The Buddhist monks, the tonsured, those, who wear white apparels, those, who beg wearing good robes, those, who wear blood-red clothes and those, that have conquered their five senses-all these mendicants are ruled by Mars.
33. Mercury denotes an alm-seeker, a conjurer, a snake poison curer and one, who eats the flesh of a peacock.
34. The ascetics ruled by Jupiter are: those, who hold a single sceptre (or mace), those, who hold three sceptres, those, who wear red coloured apparels, those, who are in the third stage of
their religious life, those, who pull on their lives with fruits and water (alone), those, who still are attached to family ties, those, who maintain celibacy and those, who take to visiting shrines etc.
35. Venus rules the mendicants of Saivite and Vaishnavite sects.
36. Religious hypocrites, bare mendicants and the ascetics, who sit under shadowy trees in forests are ruled by Saturn.
37. Should Raja Yogas be simultaneously present along with the above ascetic Yogas, all the evil results are nullified and the native will become very virtuous, will be adorned by all the kings.
himself becoming a king and will take to religious order.

Astrology of Alzheimer's Disease.

Alzheimer's disease astrology.

Brain disease with memory loss due to Dementia and Alzheimer's illness as a medical icon of an autumn season tree shaped as a human head and brain losing leaves as a concept of intelligence decline. - stock photo

Alzheimer's disease is a neurological disorder in which the death of brain cells causes memory loss and cognitive decline. A neuro degenerative type of dementia, the disease starts mild and gets progressively worse.

What causes Alzheimer's disease?

Like all types of dementia, Alzheimer's is caused by brain cell death.3 It is a neurodegenerative disease, which means there is progressive brain cell death that happens over a course of time.
1. Worsened ability to take in and remember new information, for example:
  • "Repetitive questions or conversations
  • Misplacing personal belongings
  • Forgetting events or appointments
  • Getting lost on a familiar route."
2. Impairments to reasoning, complex tasking, exercising judgement:
  • "Poor understanding of safety risks
  • Inability to manage finances
  • Poor decision-making ability
  • Inability to plan complex or sequential activities."
3. Impaired visuospatial abilities (but not, for example, due to eye sight problems):
  • "Inability to recognize faces or common objects or to find objects in direct view
  • Inability to operate simple implements, or orient clothing to the body."
4. Impaired speaking, reading and writing:
  • "Difficulty thinking of common words while speaking, hesitations
  • Speech, spelling, and writing errors."
5. Changes in personality and behaviour, for example:
  • Out-of-character mood changes, including agitation; less interest, motivation or initiative; apathy; social withdrawal
  • Loss of empathy
  • Compulsive, obsessive or socially unacceptable behaviour.
Astrological factors-

  • Planet Moon--- for mind
  • Planet mercury for intelligence and tridosha significator.
  • Planet saturn---For degeneration and constriction and for chronic diseases.
  • Lords of 4th,6th,8th and 12th.
  • Combust or afflicted mercury is generally responsible for nervous disorder.
  • Signs of mercury Gemini,virgo
  • Aries and Cancer Sign.
SIGNIFICATIONS OF HOUSE AND DISEASES.
Significations of the houses generally correspond to the signs of zodiac in seriatim. Similarly read the various body parts governed by various
houses. Afflictions to houses likewise cause diseases of the connected parts.
If the dispositor of the lord of a Bhava is in dustana , then the particular bhava will be in great danger. This rule is very useful in medical
astrology to detect diseases in various parts of the body.
*bodily diseases can be ascertained by an examination of (a) the 6th and  8th house, (b) the lord of the 6th and 8th, (c) the planet who aspects the 6th and  8th,  and (d) the planet which occupies the 6th and 8th. The strongest of these will cause the disease pertaining to the dosha under its domain and in the particular organ governed by the zodiacal sign it afflicts.

*Three seats of disease are recognised, viz., if the Lagna is movable and in Urdhvamukha Rasi (3,6,9,12 from sun), then the disease can be seen above the neck ; if fixed and Thiryugmukha (2,5,8,11 from sun), the disease is below the neck and above the waist, and if it is common and Adhomukha (1,4,7,10, from sun) the disease will be below the waist.

  • Adhomukha Rasi - is the Sign that Sun currently in.
  • Urdhwamukha Rasi - is the Sign that Sun was last in.
  • ThiryugMukah Rasi - is the sign that Sun will next move to.

General rules; benefics in trine or quadrants are health promoting , malefics in trine or quadrants often cause health problems. Upachayas; 3, 6 and 11 are houses of resistance to disease and relate to the immune system. Malefics here destroy disease and increase our immunity. Benefics do not do well in the sixth, but are not bad in the third and eleventh. The lords of houses 3 and 11 can also cause health problems. 2 & 7 are marakas; (end of 3 & 8) negative generally only in old age.

Here seat of disease is established above neck as  the sign of ascendent is moveable and is 6th from Sun.Thus the disease is above neck. Lord of sixth is in sign aries or head of cosmic zodiac man.Mercury is combust and badly placed so is lord of ascendent. There is exchange between 8th and 9th lords establishing contact with 8th house . Moon the significator of mind is in 12th house of hospitalization ,loss and incapacitation  aspected by Rahu . Dispositor of moon is ketu and in sign cancer.Being retrograde Mercury also establishes contact with 6th lord .8th lord Saturn is hemmed between Sun and Ketu and is conjunct Saturn lord of 4th or 5th ,being in contact with 8th lord establishes a chitta roga as per ayurveda.Venus and saturn are in nakshatra of jupiter the lord of 6th and 3rd.

Timing the birth of Son through transit of Jupiter.

Jupiter transit and birth of son.

New baby image

DevaKeralam.
'Tryanaam putra nathanam lagnat chandrat cha bhaskrat sphut yogam gate jeeve putra labham vinirdishet".

Meaning---When in transit planet Jupiter establishes a yoga or link through association or aspect with the lord of 5th house from lagna ,chandra lagna and surya lagna ,one should predict the birth of a son at that time.

Example chart.

Transit of Jupiter was in Aries in Dec 1999 it touched surya lagna ,5th house,5th house lord is Jupiter only .The transit is also over natal Rahu the MD lord ,natal moon is already under aspect from natal Jupiter ,so the transit of Jupiter in Aries completes the picture and the above shloka comes true the native was blessed with son in Dec 1999.

Politics and raaj yogas in astrology.

Politics.

  • Clear communication and oratory skills-- Mercury
  • Focus,deception and availing opportunities----Rahu.
  • Power-----------------------------------Sun
  • Action and determination-----------------Mars
  • Perseverance-----------------------------Saturn
  • Masses-----------------------------------Moon.
  • Appeal and charisma----------------------Venus.
  • Expansion---------------------------------- Jupiter
  • Strong Raj yogas  and lord of 10th .

Phaladeepika states – when a benefic sign is on the 10th house and the 10th house is occupied by a benefic planet and is aspected by a benefic or benefics and the lord of 10th not being combust occupies a benefic bhava in its own sign or exaltation sign the very favourable Khyati yoga arises making one adept, wealthy and achieve wide and lasting fame, who like a king will protect his subordinates .

Akhanda Samrajya yoga:
This yoga arises only if Jupiter owns either the 5th or the 11th house and the lords of the 2nd, the 9th and the 11th from the Moon are strongly placed in the kendras or if Jupiter, not weak or debilitated, is in the 2nd, the 5th or the 11th and the lords of the 2nd, the 9th and the 11th are in a kendra from the Moon. (Source: Jataka Parijata)

Parasara calls the kendras the Vishnusthanas and the trikonas, the Lakshmisthanas; their lords in mutual association become yogakarakas and Rajayogakarakas. These lords attaining Parijatadi awastha("status") make one a ruler who takes care of and protects his subjects; attaining Uttamadi awastha they make one a wealthy ruler; attaining Gopuradi awastha they make one a ruler who is held in high esteem and venerated, and attaining Simhasanadi awastha they make one an all-conquering mighty ruler. Those born under the influence such strong kendra and trikona lords and the lord of the 2nd house, have emerged as great rulers; those blessed with these lords attaining Simhasanasha and Gopuransha have emerged as rulers and Chakravarti Samrats like Raja Harishchandra and Vaivasvata Manu.Yudhisthira was blessed with similarly strong lords as also Shalivahana. Person born with all these seven lords attaining Devaloka awasthas will be the Avatar of Lord Vishnu

If Jupiter, the Moon and the Lagna are aspected by Saturn, and if Jupiter is in the 9th house, the person born would be a Raja who would write on shastras or sciences (Brihat Jataka XV.4)

Sreenatha yoga is caused when at the time of birth the lord of the 7th house is exalted and the lord of the 10th is with the lord of the 9th house. This is an important Raja yoga. If at birth Mercury and theSun conjoin in the 10th house and Mars is with Rahu in the 6th house, the person becomes chief among men, and if Venus is with Mars in the 2nd house, Jupiter is in Pisces and both Saturn and the Moon are in their respective signs of debilitation a Raja yoga is caused but the person will not be wealthy. The most powerful Raja yoga is produced when, free from the adverse influences of the trika – lords, the lords of the 9th and the 10th or the lords of the 4th and the 5th conjoin in an auspicious sign and bhava

If at the time of birth the Moon is in an Upachayasthana, all benefic planets occupy their own signs and navamsas and all malefic planets are weak in strength the person will rise to be a ruler equal to Indra (Mansagari IV Raja yoga 16). Venus and Mars combining in the 2nd house with Jupiter situated in Pisces, Mercury and Saturn in Libra and the Moon occupying its debilitation sign give rise to Raja yoga, in which event the person will be generous, wealthy, proud and famous ruling a vast territory (Mansagari IV Raja yoga 33). If the Moon combines with the Sun in the first half of Sagittarius sign , Saturn vested with strength is in the lagna and Mars is exalted a mighty much venerated ruler is born (Mansagari IV Raja yoga 65–66).

But these two lords should not own the 8th or 11th house." It further adds.
meaning, "When in a horoscope the lords of the 9th and the 10th house together occupy an auspicious house, it constitutes a Raja Yogaa. When the lords of other Kendra and Trikona houses are similarly placed, i.e., join together in an auspicious house, the resulting Yoga is called 'Sankha'. The Raj Yoga formed by the 9th (dharma) and 10th (Karma) lords is famous as Dharma-Karmadhipati Raja Yoga (DKRY).The native with strong DKRY in his horoscope attains high status, success and fame in his profession. The native born with Sankha Yoga is blessed with all types of comforts in life.
      Uttarakalamrita further elucidates :
meaning, "The Raja Yoga formed by the following planetary combinations in a horoscope confers wealth and happiness to the native :
      • The lords of the 9th and 10th house are in their own house.
      • These lords are together in the 9th or 10th house.
      • These exchange houses or Nakshatra.
      • These aspect each other.
      • These are with the lords of 1, 4, 5, 7 house.
      • These are in 1, 4, 5, 7 house.
that is, "the three pairs of planets :
      • The owners of the 9th and 10th houses from Lagna
      • The owners of the 9th and the 10th from the 9th house, and
      • Lords of the 9th and 10th house from the 10th house respectively give high, medium and small position to the native."

The Asht sidhhis and Nav nidhis and the bestower lord Hanumaan.

    Asht sidhhis and nav nidhis.

Lord Hanuman being blessed by Sita ji on Asht sidhhis and Nav nidhis.

Asht sidhhi nav nidhi ke data.
    Ais bar deen  Janaki Mata.
    ( from Hanumaan chalisa)

eight siddhis (ashta siddhi) that are mentioned in Patajanli’s Yoga Sutras and can be obtained by very few through countless years of practice and devotion to all eight limbs of Ashtanga Yoga. Siddhi can loosely be translated as accomplishment or a special power or unusual skill. The eight siddhis Swamiji described are:
Anima: Reducing one’s physical self to the size of an atom
Mahima: Growing one’s physical self to incredibly large size
Garima: Making one’s physical self so heavy as immovable by others
    Laghima: Becoming almost weightless
Prapti: Being able to go/travel wherever one wants
Prakamya: Being able to obtain whatever one wants
    Istva: Possessing lordship
Vastva: Being able to control the minds of others
Hanuman not only possessed all eight siddhis, but was also blessed by Sita as “Ashta Siddhi Nau Nidhi Ke Daata,” or one who can bestow astha siddhi upon others. When Hanuman first reaches to Lanka on his mission to find Sita, he makes use of anima so as to be discrete in enemy territory. He uses it again when he approaches Sita for the first time – reducing his size to that of a schoolboy, so as not to scare her. He uses mahima to outwit and overpower demons. He uses garima to show his power when Ravana, the demon king, temporarily captures him and brings him to the main court of palace. Not even the mighty Ravana could lift Hanuman’s tail.

    Siddhi

    • Anima (shrinking) - Power of becoming the size of an atom and entering the smallest beings.
    • Mahima (illimitability) - Power of becoming mighty and co-extensive with the universe. The power of increasing one's size without limit.
    • Lagima (lightness) - Capacity to be quite light though big in size.
    • Garima (weight) - Capacity to weigh heavy, though seemingly small size.
    • Prapthi (fulfillment of desires) - Capacity to enter all the worlds from Brahma Loga to the neither world. It is the power of attaining everything desired.
    • Prakasysm (irresistable will) - Power of disembodying and entering into other bodies (metempsychosis) and going to heaven and enjoying what everyone aspires for, simply from where he stays.
    • Isithavam (supremacy) - Have the creative power of God and control over the Sun, the moon and the elements and
    • Vasithavam (dominion over the elements) - Power of control over all the living being. The power of changing the course of nature and assuming any form.
In the context of Hindu mythology, Nidhi, that is, a treasure, constituted of nine treasures (nawanidhi) belonging to Kubera (also spelt as Kuvera), the god of wealth. According to the tradition, each nidhi is personified as having a guardian spirit, and some tantrikas worship them.
    - mahapadma "great lotus flower" (Gaja Mukta)
    - padma "lotus flower" (Nag Mani)
    - shankha "conch" (Nine Gems)
    - makara "dolphin or crocodile" (Paras Linga)
    - kachchhapa "tortoise" (Maha Mani)
    - mukunda "a particular precious stone" (Srivardhana Mani)

    - kunda "jasmine" (Raja Mani)
    - nila "sapphire" (Mahabandhana Mani)

    - kharva "dwarf" (Billi ka Jer)
When considered as mines, minerals, earthenware and ocean resources, the nine treasures of Kubera are interpreted as:

    - padma (lake in Himalaya with minerals and jewels)

    - mahapadma (lake double the size of padma in Himalaya with minerals and jewels)

    - makara (Synonym of Padmini, black antimony)

    - nila (Antimony)

    - mukunda (cinnabar, or quicksilver)

    - kunda (arsenic)

    - kharva (cups or vessels baked in fire)

    - kachchhapa (tortoise or turtle shell)

    - sankha (conch shell)
    8 Siddhis (Supernatural powers) are:
    1.   Aimā: Ability to reduce one's size
    2.   Mahima: Ability to increase one's size
    3.   Garima: Ability to increase one's weight infinitely
    4.   Laghima: Ability to become lighter than the lightest
    5.   Prāpti: Ability to Obtain anything
    6.   Prākāmya: Ability to acquire anything desired
    7.   Iiva: Lordship over creation

    8.   Vaśitva: Having control over things

in modern context we can live better if follow the same sidhhis in a different pattern given below.

Anima: Reduce the ego and be humble in front of elders, parents, teachers, and gurus.
Mahima: Think big, and aim for large goals.
Garima: Be immovable and unshakeable in values and principles.
Laghima: Don’t take everything in life too seriously. Have some lightness and laughter in life. To that end, I should note that Swamiji provided us quite a bit of laughter with his amusing anecdotes.
Prapti: Focus mental energies on achieving the goal.
Prakamya: Always speak the truth, and don’t be afraid to express aims and goals.
Istva and Vastva---last two siddhis  focus on the power of leadership, respect, and love – all of which go hand in hand. A true leader inspires others. And that inspiration causes people to follow and be loyal to that leader (istva). And finally, with respect to vastva.
