HORA Chart decides how wealthy you will be

In Indian(Vedic) astrology, there are 16 types of charts and these are known as Shodashvarg Kundalis. However, there are a few astrologers who prepare six types of charts known as Shadvarg Kundalis.
(1) Janmalagna (Ascendant)
(2) Hora
(3) Dreshkan
(4) Saptamansha(D-7)
(5) Navmansha(D-9)
(6) Dwada-shansha (D-12)
(7) Trishansha
(8) Chaturthansha
(9) Dashansha (D-10)
(10) Shodashansha
(11) Vinshansha
(12) Chaturvishansha
(13) Bhansha
(14) Khavedansha
(15) Akshavedansha
(16) Shashtyansha
Generally, people are familiar with only Janmalagna & Navmansha (navamsa/D-9) charts. But, an astrologer has to study all these charts before predicting dashas, transits & various yogas in the chart. Hora is usually studied for the wealth of the native i.e. his/her financial condition during the entire life span.
The Hora chart is divided into 2 parts. It has only 2 Lagnas/Rashis- Cancer & Leo. All the first 15 degrees of male Rashis (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius & Aquarius) come under Leo. The next 15 degrees come under Cancer. On the other hand, all the first 15 degrees of female Rashis (Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn & Pisces) come under Cancer. The next 15 degrees come under Leo.
From a Kshetra(Rashi) chart (with the degrees of all the planets including Lagna), it is easy to find out a Hora Lagna & the position of all the planets.
Now, we give points to each planet as under:
  • * 5 points to exalted planet (only Jupiter will get this if it is placed in Cancer Hora).
  • * 4 points to a planet, which is the Lord of the Hora (only Moon will get it if it is placed in Cancer Hora, or Sun will get it if it is placed in Leo Hora).
  • * 3 points to a planet placed in a friend?s Hora (Rashis).
  • * 2 points to a planet placed in neutral Hora.
  • * 1 point to a planet placed in enemy’s Hora.
  • * 0 points to a planet placed in debilitated Rashis (only Mars will get it if it is placed in Cancer Hora).
In case of Mars & Jupiter in Cancer Hora, they will not get any point for being in friend?s Hora. One has to double the points if planet/Lagna if it is in the same type of Rashis (male/female) & reduce the points to half if planet/Lagna is in the other type of Rashis (male/female).
Thus, through this study, astrologers can derive which Hora is more powerful.
If the 2nd House is powerful in case of a Cancer Lagna in Hora chart, the native will accumulate or earn good wealth.
If the 12th House is powerful in case of a Leo Lagna in Hora chart, the native will experience financial constraints.
It may so happen that both the Rashis / 2nd House / 12th House are equal in points, in this case, the native will not make a lot of money, but will maintain what he/she inherits.

Nakshatras (Constellations) and Love connections

We all know our sunsigns, but do you know that there is a more intricate, in-depth and interesting classification of the sunsigns based on nakshatras? Vedic astrology divides the year into 27 individual nakshatras or star signs, which will give a more accurate profile of the individual, as each nakshatra spans only 14-15 days. For example, a person’s sunsign may be Aries, but in Aries he could be an Ashwini, Bharini or Krittika. What this means is that along with the qualities of Aries one will have some unique qualities due to the nakshatra, which will differentiate him/her from other Arians.
There are two /three nakshatras in every sign of the zodiac. Some nakshatras spill over two signs. For example, a person born in the first part of Krittika will be an Arian and the latter part, a Taurean. Knowing your or your loved ones’ nakshatra will give you an insight into their character, temperament and emotional patterns. Each and every nakshatra has its own characteristic features, symbols, animal and alphabets or special consonants for birth names. Here is a glimpse into the mystical world of Nakshatras and the romantic compatibility perspective:

Is Astrology a Real Science or a Pseudo Science ?

Every now and then we come across a section of the society who ask : “Is astrology a science ? Or is it an outworn superstition or just fortune telling ?”.
Most of them are not among its non-believers but perhaps have some reservations regarding its scientific validity as a result of their not too happy experiences with few quack astrologers. Another section, swayed by uniformed prejudice, being completely ignorant of its principles engage themselves in repudating the star science as pseudo science and decrying its practitioners without any discrimination. Yet other ascribe belief in astrology to infatuation or delusion. If unmerited attacks of the above kind had been confined to limited circles without tendering to affect the atmosphere outside, the matter should not attract any serious attention. Not so, however, when such mischevious and malicious attacks are hurled by a few or receive recognition in their columns. Such writings have every likelyhood of causing grievous harm as much to astrology as to those who practise it either as a hobby or profession.
Astrology is a divine science of correspondences in that it applies cosmic principles to the minutiae of everyday life. It is a unique system of interpretation of the correlation of planetary action in human experience and brought to man by the same great seers and sages who bequeathed to us great treasure houses of knowledge in arts, philosophy, medicine, and a kindered of other sciences. Posesses of great intellect and intution, they noted a close correspondence between the macrocosm or the great world of the universe and the microcosm of the little world of man well expressed in the hermetic axiom, the master key to all mysteries. “As above, so below”. The sun, the moon and planets have a bearing upon everything that happens in the solar system. Newton clearly taught us that everything in the universe affects every other particle.
Can it be imagined that these great seers who worshipped truth and honesty manipulated astrology with a view to defraud and delude the posterity and perpetuate a fraud on them ? Astrology has lived through the ages in all countries – India, Egypt, China, Chaldea, Babylon, Rome, Greece, though, now and then, irate men stood in its way and denigrated it.
Science may be defned as an organisation of facts which have been co-ordinated and generalised into a system. It is knowledge coming to us from noting resemblances and reccurences in the events that happen around us. Granted this, astrology which avers that there is complete unity and sameness in the pursuit of planets and mundane as well as human affairs passes this text.
When evidence is there, a materialistic mind may ask, that the planets have any influence on human, animal and vegetable kingdom ? The secret lies in magnetism, and there is plenty of evidence that celestial phenomena correspond with human activity none that planets actually cause these things to happen. But then the basis of what follows is observation extending over a number of years. For instance, every child knows that the sun and moon by their angular justaposition move oceans back and forth and cause tides. Scientific investigations have shown that certain maritime creatures behave in a consistent way with certain phases of moon and also mentally challenged people are influenced by moon and their trends are more on newmoon and fullmoon days.
The moon’s influence upon feminine rythms, both to the menstrual cycle and duration of prenancy is well known.
Similarly effects of sunspots on the weather, with corresponding violent electrical disturbances in the earth’s upper atmosphere noticeably affecting weather and short wave radio transmissions, are not doubted.
Rodney Collin observes : Electronic radiation from the heavenly bodies produces molecular change in the atmosphere, while such molecular change in the atmosphere in turn produces cellular change in the organic bodies dwelling therein.
Such cellular change affects all the 9 glands in human body and the behaviour of these glands is recognised by psychologists as having a bearing on human behaviour. What has now been established as science is only a fraction of the knowledge bequeathed to us by our ancients.
Astrology is a vast science and a lot of research needs to be done into it for application to current generation.
In india, it was neglected after westerners introduced their old education system, but it is developing a lot in western countries.
[i]Even is USA’s white house astrology is followed. A president and his first lady were actually arranging their official and personal schedules in accordance with the calculations of an astrologer who was retained by them.
Prince Charles of England a devout believer in many strange matters had his birth sign (Scorpio) worked in to the design of his crown that he wears as prince of wales.
There are many such instances discovered by scientists and astrologer across the globe.
Dr. Maki Takata (toho univ., tokyo) carried out his research for 14 years to find out that blood cells in human body are depended on his sun sign at birth time.
Dr. Eugen Jonar in chekoslovakia who was head of population control board in his country carried out tests on about 30000 women’s horoscopes and found out safe periods for sex without pregnancy based on moon’s movements. This was proved in 97.7 % cases.
He also found out sex of child prior to birth based on moon’s positions and it was proved right in 87 % cases.
Dr. Rudolph Tomaschek who was also a geologist found that when jupiter, comes in 90 degrees with uranus or pluto, he observed 134 earthquakes.
Dr. Abraham Hoffer Observed that mentally charged people’s condition will be at its peaks in mid january and july and will be normal after mid march and mid september.
This january and july mid periods are stated as ‘uttarayana’ and ‘dakshinayana’ according to sun’s movement by ancient sages.
As Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote “Astrology is Astronomy brought to earth and applied to the affairs of men”.
We can offer no explanation to the weal and woe we experience in our lease of life if a previous state of existence in which their seeds have been sowed, is denied. Verily, the author of the Light of Asia echoes the truth when he sings Each man’s life the outcome of his former living is; the bygone wrongs bring forth sorrows : the bygone right breeds bliss.
Mark St.Paul’s words Be not deceived, God is not mocked : for whatever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
So all our pain and pleasure are of our own making and the wrongs indulged in by us in the past yeild us woe in the present, and if the present circumstances appear to be rigidly defined in such a way to appear to us as fated, it is the surest possible indication that our ‘fate’ has been brought about by the exercise of one’s so-called free will in the past.
Astrology provides key to this enigma and reveals what is in store for us in the present state of existence. A horoscope , in other words is a heavenly view at any particular time and, as Dr.Jung says A person is of the vintage of the time he was born and like the vintage of wine it cannot be changed.
What a glorious power is given to man , never to do any action of which God will not approve and to welcome whatever God appoints for him.
Every man is his own master and reaps in time what he has sown.
But actually we enjoy or suffer according to our past karma.
We may presume that we are our own masters.
To everything there is a season,
And a time to every purpose under the heaven,
A time to be born, and a time to die,
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up

What kind of personality we have brought over as the karmic inheritance of our activities in previous lives, we may learn only from a study of astrology.
It is also able to inform us about our inherent tastes, desires and capacities, our mental, psychic and physical peculiarities, our limitations, our possibilities of growth and our aspirations.
In essence, it marks the TIME when the postulated events will happen in the life of every human being.

Usage of Navamsa Chart in Predictions

Navamsa Chart is the most important divisional chart, Navamsa means nine part of a particular Rashi in which each Amsa consists of 3 degrees and 20 minutes.
It is usually used during predictions about marriage of the native, spouse, married life etc but is also useful to know characteristics of the native and also his/her spouse in much detail.
For a planet posited in a Movable sign (Chara Rashi) counting starts from the sign itself, in fixed sign counting starts from 9th and in dual sign counting starts from 5th from where the planet is posited. Planets in the first Navamsa division. Chara Rashi, 5th division in the fixed sign (Sthir Rashi) and 9th division in Dual Rashi are Vargottoma.
Navamsa and Rasi charts
Importance of Navamasa
Navamsa is invariably necessary to be checked for each and every event to be delineated from the horoscope. According to Shastras, without Navamsa chart predictions are not ventured without anyalsing the position of planets in the Navamsa chart for a particular bhava and its representative. Sthoolam or apparent look is D-1 chart, Sukhsham Sharira is D-9 chart and it should have inherent permanent strength. If Sukhsham Sharira does not possesses strength one will always be liable for having loss the materalistic possessions he has. Otherwise also sustaining engeries for a native will be very less if Sukhshma Sharira is not properly balanced.
Planets debilitated in D-1 exalted in D-9 are considered to give more favourable results and are considered to be more powerful and vice-versa. Nakshatra or Star compatibility for Love or Marriage

The following Koota/Nakshatra matching chart, based on the highly reliable South Indian Dasa Koota system, will give you the matching compatibility score of the boy and the girl. For this you need the Nakshatra or the birth star of the boy and the girl. If you don’t know the Nakshatras, you can check by using the free Jyotish calculator or the free birth chart calculator provided in download sections this site. Before you start jumping to any conclusions, let me tell you that for marriage purpose both the horoscopes must be thoroughly matched by an experienced astrologer. This is done based on the planetary combinations of the ascendant or lagna, all the 9 planets, the nakshatra or birth star based koota/guna matching, mangala dosha and also the navamsa charts matching. Marriage is a life long association and must be taken seriously.
However to get a rough general idea you can check the matching of the Five Astro-signs – the sun sign, the rasi or moon sign, the lagna or ascendant and the nakshatra based koota/guna matching and also the Chinese sign.
The matching is always done from the girl’s Nakshatra to the boy’s Nakshatra. Check the girls Nakshatra vertically down and match it with the boys Nakshatra given along the same row. For example, if the girl’s Moon is in Aries and in the Nakshatra Krittika 1st quarter and the boy’s moon is in Libra and Chitra 3rd quarter, you note the star# of both, from list of Nakshatras. The girl’s Nakshatra is #3 & the boy’s is 14. From the girls Nakshatra # 3 in the vertical list check along the row till you come to the boy’s Nakshatra #till you come to the column under the boys Nakshatra #. In this case the Koota Matching score is 27 points, or 27 Gunas.
A Guna matiching score of 18 is the minimum required for compatibility. The higher the score, the better it is. Please note that this Guna matching is not the only thing for astrological marriage matching. You need to get the horoscopes matched by an experienced astrologer.

Mantras (Some Information)

Mantra, Tantra and Yantra have since time immemorial been prescribed to awaken the self within and as remedial measures to burn off negative karmas. These are windows to cosmic wisdom and recitation of mantras awakens self-awareness and internal consciousness which are key to self realisation and divinity. Mantras like Gayatri, om namah sivay, maha mritunjaya and others are a part of our daily life. Though we all know some mantra or the other, very few people know and understand the significance and nuances of it.
What is mantra?
Technically speaking a mantra is a mystical formula composed of letters and words that are meaningful to the initiated. A mantra is a combination of sacred syllables which forms a nucleus of spiritual energy. The mantra is also a collection of “akshara” (syllables) meant to raise the kundalinin shakti ( the coiled power that lies dormant in all of us). This serves as a magnet to attract or a lens to focus spiritual vibrations. According to upanishads, ancient scriptures of India, the original abode of the mantra was the primeval ether. The mantras were directly perceived by the rishis or seers who translated them into an audible pattern of words, rhythm and melody.
The chanting or reciting of mantras activates and accelerates the creative spiritual force, promoting harmony in all parts of human beings. The repetition of mantras over billions of times by countless devotees over the centuries has brought about a vast reservoir of power which augments the inherent spiritual potency of the mantras.
There are at least seventy million mantras in the hindu texts. These are classified as two types :
Pra-siddha Mantra – or those that can be recited by any person irrespective of whether they are given by a guru or not and without a specific objective of solving a problem.
Kamya-siddha Mantra – which are meant to solve specific problems.
Science of Mantra:
John Woodrof, a retired judge of Madras High Court experienced this. One proficient tantrik astonished him by producing fire in wood with the help of fire mantra (hreem). Various parts of the body are also affected by the sounds of the words. B M Lesario Vasai, an Australian scientist wrote in one magazine about his own experience and that of a sick child. He wrote in detail that by reciting certain types of words there was an improvement in their health. It is also well-known to us that there is an effect produced by the energy created by reciting mantras individually or in group; we get a thrill (sensation) in our body whenever we recite the gayatri mantra in a group, or while praising goddess Durga, even though we do not understand the significance of these mantras. This is the power of word energy.
Principal Karmarta of Occult Research College in Pune said in his discourse that the letters of the alphabet are not only informal but they also have close relation with mantra energy. Each letter of the alphabet according to its pronunciation makes a specific effect on the human body and mind. He proved this by making some experiments out of some letters; he proved that the temperature of the body increased by 1 degree by putting specific stress on the letters in “Ram”, reciting it 1000 times. It can be proved by all this that the word is not lifeless; there is life in its energy and rays, this is the science of mantra.
Spoken words get destroyed after making a certain sudden effect. Its energy gets destroyed, but the energy of mantras remains for a long time. The method of uttering a mantra is very important. Mantra has got some rhythm and it has two types of meaning – word meaning and word significance. It is not necessary that every word has some meaning , but it has its significance and that is a fact.
Suitability of a mantra:
Who should chant which mantra? The suitability of a mantra should be judged before giving it, else the consequences can be negative or disastrous depending on the extent of unsuitability. {This is tested based on the name [names were based on Janma Rashi (Moon sign at birth) and Nama Rashi (sign having the name letter.)] and the varna (profession) of the sadhaka and this is done in a few stages.} Firstly, the starting letter of the mantra is checked .This is followed by a check on the total number of letters of the mantra. The third step is to check the overall impact of all the letters of the mantra. However some mantras are exempt from this rule. (The list is given below.)
Sex of Mantra:
The mantra can also be classified on the basis of the ending words that have an impact on the attitude of the practitioner. Masculine mantras can be identified by their ending syllable / words like “Vasat” or “fhut”. These have the strength to ward off evil and are generally aggressive. Femininie mantra (stri) on the other hand is docile and generally ends with “swaha” or “vaushat” etc. They require the practitioner to be dedicated and make offerings to the deity. Neuter mantra has words like “namah”, “hum” etc which require the practitioner to submit to the will of the deity. The choice of a mantra does not depend on the sex of the person. The choice will depend on the attitude that one wishes to invoke the deity with.
In general, captivation (vasikaran), aversion (ucchatan) and other aggressive acts are best done with the aid of masculine mantras, while for the destruction of diseases and general welfare the feminine mantras are preferred. Neuter mantras can remove black magic and are very protective.
Types of Mantras:
Mantras are used for several purposes, for material gains and for spiritual upliftment. The most exalted aim can be spiritual upliftment, others include curing of disease, warding off evil, attaining liberation, gaining wealth, influencing others, acquiring powers, and at the lowest and meanest level, harming others.
Shanti karan – (pacification) It is meant for the destruction of diseases, general well-being and emancipation from the cycle of re-birth. These mantras are for warding off the malefic effects and influence of planets and for curing of diseases.
Vashi karan – (captivation) These mantras, when used in a specific way, are to bring people under control, and thus one gains one’s desires.
Sthamban – (immobilisation) These mantras deal with all the persons to stop acting against you. It is meant for mentally or physically obstructing a person or group.
Videshan – (dissension) These mantras are for creating differences between people. They are meant for creating differences between couples or close friends and allies.
Uchchattan – (aversion) It is meant for making a person hate another person or place. These mantras deal with the distraction of the mind of enemies, opponents and other persons so that they stay away from harming you. This can also be used for persons working against their country, birthplace, residence, home and family members.
Maran – (eradication ) It is meant for causing the death of a person (or enemy). These are death-inflicting mantras through which anybody can be killed.
Warning: These are some of the traditional uses. However, it is a law of nature that each and every action has a reaction, so anything done with a wrong intent will bounce back on the user. Any evil intention or act will backfire on the user only.
Mantra sadhana:
The essential and important parts of the process are:
1. Recitation of the mantra
2. Correct rhythmic pronunciation of the mantra
3. Understanding the meaning of the mantra
4. Reciting the mantra the prescribed number of times
Rules of Mantra:
Mantra should be pronounced properly. If it is not pronounced properly, its significance is likely to be changed. This shows that pronounciation should be done properly otherwise the meaning gets changed.
Where the mantra should be broken is important, the meanigng gets changed according to the place where we break the mantra. That is why we should not pronounce the mantra if we do not know how to do it. If a mantra is not properly used, it can have an adverse effect. There is a rhythm for pronouncing the mantra and the seat is specific, the sitting posture is definite.
The smaller the mantra, the more effective it is. If it is long, it becomes difficult to utter and its result is general. If it is small, it is easy to utter and its result is very good. The result of mantra is of three types:
(a) Mantra produces vibrations
(b) Colour is seen because of mantra
(c) Different types of sounds are heard
Some universal mantras which anybody can chant are:
1. Om Namo Narayanaya
2. Om Namah Shivaya
3. Om Tat Sat
4. Gayatri Mantra of Rig Veda
5. Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya
6. Hare Rama Krishna
7. Mahamritunjaya Mantra

OM – The cosmic sound Aum, or its condensed form OM, is the origin of all other sounds and is itself a mantra. It is called a pranava or sacred syllable and symbolises Brahman or the spiritual reality. The mantra Aum gives birth to rays of light, bringing illuminations to the mind. Aum is a one letter mantra, has no word meaning but its significance is definite; it is the smallest and most effective mantra. It is made of 3.5 strokes. These strokes are linked to the 3 and a half coils of kunalini (the coiled power that lies within us). Aum is so powerful that it is called king of mantras; some mantras give earthly happiness, some give emancipation, some give spiritual happiness, paramarthic shakti – this mantra of aum links both earthly life and spiritual life.
Gayatri Mantra:
Lord Krishna in Geeta says that among the mantras he is Gayatri, thus giving it a supreme status amongst all the mantras. It is the most potent and powerful mantra dedicated to the Sun God. The Sun has been worshipped as a God across civilizations – its light, its warmth, its healing qualities, have inspired awe and reverence. Without it, nothing on the earth can thrive or survive and the gayatri mantra is a tribute to this power of the Sun. It exerts its influence over various levels of existence: physical, mental and emotional. This mantra has the power to open up the floodgates of the highest intellectual and creative capacities. It is a mantra which puts us in touch with our core, the self and fills it with light and brightness.
Om bhuh, om bhuvah, om svah, om mahah,
Om janah, om tapah, om satyam.
Tat savitur varenyam bhargo devasya
Dhimahi dhiyo yo nah prachodayat.
Meaning: The word Om is the seven spheres of existence: earth, water, fire, air, ether, intelligence and consciousness. We meditate upon the divine light of that adorable sun of spiritual consciousness which stimulates our power of spiritual perception.
Note: All those who are interested in choosing a particular mantra are requested to consult their guru / astrologer. Along with the initiation, the guru can advise on which mantra to chant, what is the best time, place and position and how often a mantra needs to be repeated. Each and every type of mantra has a rosary that goes with it.

Remedies for malefic Saturn in 12 houses

As the slowest moving planet and the chief signification for longevity, Saturn is a barren, binding, cold, dry, hard, defensive and secretive planet. Its effects and influences are felt with greater intensity and for longer periods than any other planet. Saturn is considered to be very favourable for people born in the signs owned by Venus, whereas Saturn is evil to those born in the signs owned by Mercury.
Few describe Saturn as a serpent, whose head or mouth is Rahu and Ketu is its tail. If ketu is posited in earlier houses than Saturn, the latter becomes a great benefic for the native. However, if the position is otherwise, the Saturn throws highest poisonous results on the native. Further, Saturn never gives malefic effects if posited in houses of Jupiter i.e. 2, 5, 9 or 12, whereas Jupiter provides bad results if posited in the house of Saturn.
Saturn is considered good in houses 2nd , 3rd and 7th to 12th, whereas 1st, 4th, 5th and 6th houses are bad for Saturn. Sun, Moon and Mars are its enemies, Venus, Mercury and Rahu are friends and Jupiter and Ketu are neutral to it. Saturn gets exalted in 7th house and the 1st house is the house of its debilitation. Venus and Jupiter placed together act like Saturn in that house. Similarly Mars and Mercury placed in a single house act like Saturn in that house. In the former case Saturn behaves like Ketu, while in the latter case it behaves like Rahu.
Venus gets destroyed if Saturn is being aspected by the Sun in any horoscope. The aspect of Venus on Saturn causes loss of money and wealth, but the aspect of Saturn on Venus proves highly beneficial. Collision of Saturn and Moon causes operation of the eyes of the native. Saturn gives good results if posited in house earlier than Sun.
Saturn can never give malefic results if posited with Sun or Jupiter in a single house, but highly adverse results would follow if posited with Moon or Mars in any house. Saturn releases its poisonous results on the sign and Mars, if it is posited in 1st house, on Mars only if posited in 3rd house, on moon if posited in 4th house, on sun if posited in 5th house, and on Mars in posited in 3rd house. Saturn in 3rd house deprives the native of the accumulation of cash money and kills the children of the native when posited in 5th house and 10th house is empty. It becomes highly benefic in 12th house if friendly planets are posited in 2nd house. Saturn provides very good results if placed in houses 1 to 7 on the condition that 10th house is empty. Saturn in 1st house and sun in 7th, 10th or 11th houses causes all sorts of troubles for native’s wife. Combination of Mars and Saturn gives adverse results all through.

How to judge whether a planet is benefic or malefic during its vimsottari dasa?

How to judge whether a planet is benefic or malefic during its vimsottari dasa?
If it is significator of 3rd house, it will make the person more courageous, creative and will help him/her to write and publish but at the same time it will cause him/her seperation from mother.
This is because 3rd house is 12th with respect to 4th house.
If a person gains money through 2nd house significator/lord, it will cause ill health to his spouse as 2nd is 8th with respect to 7th house.
So, if we look that way, no planet is totally benefic or totally malefic.
vimsottari dasa of 9 planets
Then how to judge if a planet will give good or bad results during its vimsottari dasa?
There are two methods to verify the overall impact of a planet’s mahadasa(period_ and also variations in results offered in different bhuktis(subperiods).
First Method :
When a particular planet’s mahadasa starts, note down the course of events that happen during first bhukti of that planet.
For example if you are running Venus Mahadasa which lasts for 20 years, check out what happens during Venus-venus bhukti which lasts for 40 months.
Now further divide these 40 months in same ratio as all antardasas of venus are divided.
Checkout and note the events that occur during these 40 months and for example if most favourable antardasa is of mercury which lasts for 170 days, the you can conclude that venus-mercury bhukti which will come after 16 years of venus mahadasa and lasts for 34 months will be the most favourable one for you.
If Venus-venus-saturn antardasa which lasts for 190 days is bad for you, then you can conclude that venus-saturn bhukti which comes after almost 13 years of venus mahadasa and lasts for 38 months will be most unfavourable.
So we can conclude that in venus mahadasa, saturn is most malefic and mercury is most malefic based on above observations.
These malefics and benefics are limited to this dasa only.
In other mahadasas of other planets, they may change, which has to be observed at the begining of those dasas.
Second Method :
Taking the above example of running venus dasa, if you have already crossed venus-venus bhukti and do not remember much about the course of events that occured at that time, then use this method to find what will happen in remaining bhuktis of venus mahadasa.
Checkout from ephemeris on what date does moon transit though a constellation owned by venus.
Venus own 3 constellations(nakshatras) : Bharani (in aries), Poorvaphalguni (in leo) and Poorvashada (in sagittarius).
Moon transits on of these constellations for almost 24 hours.
For example if moon transits poorvaphalguni constellation for 23 hours and 3 minutes, then divide this 1383 minutes in same ratio as you divide bhuktis of all planets in venus mahadasa.
venus-venus bhukti will be 1383×20/120 = 230 minutes 30 seconds on that day.
venus-sun bhukti will be 1383×6/120 = 69 minutes and 9 seconds on that day.
similarly find for how much time each bhukti lasts when moon transits a constellation owned by venus.
Not down the events on that day and if good events happen during some bhuktis then those planet’s bhuktis will also be favourable during venus mahadasa.
Similarly you can find out for future bhuktis too if you are middle of venus mahadasa.
However, this method is useful only to find results of currently running mahadasa.
For future mahadasas, you need to check results on moon’s transit on constellation owned by that planet only when that mahadasa starts.
You cannot verify Sun mahadasa results when you are running venus dasa, even if you note moon’s transition effects on krittika, uttara, uttarashada constellatio
