Tri dosha planets and diseases.

The Tri Doshas

The three humors are responsible for the functioning of the human organism according to the Ayurveda. When the three doshas Vata, Pitta and Kapha reside undisturbed in their proper organs and tissues, the organism is supported by them and is in balance. When disturbed, they cause disease and deterioration of the body.
Of all of them, Vata (Wind) is the key. Pitta and Kapha cannot move from their centers unless the air within the body carries them.
Through birth and prolonged specific behaviour, one dosha may dominant, or a combination of two doshas is dominant. Some people have all 3 doshas in relative balance. An ayurvedic doctor may establish your dominant body type through feeling the pulse. To give a very general idea, one might say that Vata dominated people are relatively thin, Pitta dominated people are relatively athletic and Kappha dominated people are relatively rounded.

Astrology of Diabetes.

Diabetes and detection by astrology.

Astrological factors influencing diabetes are:

·     Ascendant: the general build up and strength of physical body
·     Venus: rules kidney, suppression of urine
·     Moon: rules pancreatic action and blood flow, urinary derangement
·     Jupiter: arteries, veins, degeneration, diabetes
·     Sign cancer: rules pancreas, blood
·     Sign Libra: rules kidneys, and excretory system
·     Sign Sagittarius: arterial system
·     6th house: house of disease

The following are the eight planetary combinations which denote that a person may be prone to be a diabetic patient:

· If Venus and Jupiter have connections with malefic planets and the 8th house is occupied with the malefic effect of a different planet.

·  The malefic effects of Moon and Jupiter in the 8th house.

·Venus and Jupiter having association and aspects of malefic when the Ascendant is occupied by a malefic.

·  Venus with a malefic in 8th with aspects of a malefic.

·  Aspects of malefic on Lagna, the lord of Lagna in his depression or inimical sign and Venus in the 8th house. In this combination, instead of actual placement of Venus in the 8th house, his full aspect on the 8th bhava gives rise to Diabetes.

·  Rahu and the lord of the 8th house posited in the 8th bhava or in a Trikona cause diabetes.

·     Mercury is a sign of Jupiter aspected by Mars gives rise to the disease.

·  Venus in the 2nd house when the lord of the Ascendant is posited in the 6th bhava coinciding with his debilitation sign and when the rising sign is subjected to malefic aspects brings about this disease.

• Two or Three Malefic Planets if posited in Watery Signs
• Two or Three Malefic Planets posited in the 6th House.
• Two of Three Malefic Planets pos ited in Libra or in 7th house
• Moon afflicted by Sun or Mars in Watery Signs
• Venus afflicted by Sun or Mars in Watery Signs
• If the 6th lord is posited in 8th or vice versa
 1. Saturn afflicts Jupiter either by aspect.

2. Jupiter is in constellation of Saturn.

3. The Moon afflicted by Saturn.

4. Jupiter is Poorvashada constellation.

5. Saturn afflicts Cancer sign.

6.
Jupiter afflicted by Rahu and Jupiter is in RahuConstellation.

• To summarize, the Astrological Symptoms for Type 1 Diabetes are:
• Afflicted Venus (connected to a dusthana, or debilitated or retrograde, or in Papakaratari ….)
• Afflicted Mars (connected to a dusthana, or debilitated or retrograde, or in Papakaratari ….)
• Afflicted 5th house/lord
• Rahu afflicts both Venus and Mars in one way or the other
• Venus, Mars and Rahu are connected to one another, in some way or the other in Rasi, D6 and D30
Since the sign of Cancer rules the pancreas astrologically we can begin to see a picture of inherited disease perhaps triggered by viral infection at age three. It is said a strict diet can sometimes reduce one's dependence on insulin. According to astrology there are strong chart indicators against the success of any remedial medical action. So take the help of astrology in advance.
Astrological Symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes
Type 2 diabetes is the most commonly occurring diabetes. About 90% of the diabetics suffer from this type of diabetes. Type 2 diabetes results from insulin resistance (a condition in which the body fails to properly use insulin), combined with relative insulin deficiency. There are two aspects here:
• Relative insulin deficiency - Not enough insulin is produced
• Insulin resistance - Body fails to properly use the insulin produced
It is a well-known fact that pancreas produce insulin and in Astrology Venus is the karaka for pancreas. Hence, an afflicted Venus could indicate defective or under efficient pancreas. Hence, one could find a weak and afflicted Venus in this case also. But it is not mandatory as an individual with healthy pancreas could possibly get Type 2 diabetes. Hence, it is important to look for other symptoms which are mandatory for Type 2 diabetes. Insulin resistance plays an important role in Type 2 and is a mandatory condition. Doctors say that the primary treatment for insulin resistance is exercise and weight loss. According to Vedic astrology exercise could be read as strengthening Mars. Weight Loss (manage body weight) could be read as reduce the malefic effect of Jupiter.

Star Visakha and Tula rashi explained through a Mythical tale of king Sibi.

This hawk swooped by so close it almost startled me

King Sibi ruled over the kingdom of Sibi and was known for his philanthropy. One day, Indra and Agni came to test the limits of the king's generosity. The two gods disguised themselves as a hawk and a dove. The hawk started chasing the dove and the dove fell on King Sibi's lap trembling with fear. The hawk demanded the king to surrender the dove as its prey. The king refused saying that the dove had sought his protection.
After much argument the hawk agreed to leave the dove alone if the king would offer a piece of flesh from his own body which was equivalent to the weight of the dove. The king was more than happy to make such a sacrifice. Strangely, after endless slicing off his flesh and placing it on the scale, the king found that he could not equal the weight of the dove. The king threw his entire body on the scale and even then the scales tipped in favor of the dove. At this point the hawk and the dove revealed their true identity and praised the king for his unbounded charitable spirit.
What is it that BALANCES, about Libra? Apart from the idea that the ecliptic branches off (vi+sakha) to the south, from Visakha (Vi + Sakha), or that the days and nights are equal, when the Sun is in Tula , there seems to be something more. Who are the presiding deities of Visakha? Indra and Agni. While the shape of Visakha is round and can be interpreted as the Vedic fire altar, or even the pan of the scales of a Balance, (the symbol of Libra), something else needs our attention -the story of Sibi Chakravarti.

  • Ruled by Jupiter. 200'00" to 213'20"(20'00"Libra to 3'20" Scorpio).
  • The quarters are ruled by Mars, Venus, Mercury and Moon.
  • The motivation is Dharma.
  • Male Tiger
  • Symbol - A potter's wheel or an archway
  • Deities - Indra and Agni
  • Dosha - Kapha
  • Rasi - Tula (Pada 1, 2, 3)

Transit ,Gochara and Interpetation

Transits or Gochara
BY BV RAMAN

Innumerable methods of interpreting results of transits or Gochara have been enumerated in classical astrological texts. It is not my intention either to decry or glorify them. In a subject like astrology, the dependability of methods must rest upon the accuracy of results obtained. Delineation of results by considering the movements of planets from Jahma Rasi or the radical Moon has invariably been a rule rather than an exception with the rank and file of astrologers in India. The factor of latta or the dominant nature of the directional influences is hardly considered. It is not for me to comment on the reliability or otherwise of such methods of transit interpretations.
By transit is meant the passage or movement of planets. They take varying periods for moving from one sign to the other. Such movements may give rise to certain changes in the generation and distribution of forces which in their turn are bound to produce their own effects on mankind in general and individuals in particular. It must be noted that.Gochara or transit results, however, powerful, are always subordinate to the radical or birth influences." Some astrological texts claim that irrespective of directional influences, planets while in transit can produce results, good, bad or indifferent, according to ther particular places transited, by them, both with reference to the Moon and with reference to the situation of the different planets at the time of birth. Such a view cannot be tenable in the light of facts and experience. I think, the approach of Prasna Marga to the subject of Gochara jn the light of Ashtakavarga is fairly systematic and scientific.
There are two factors to be considered in interpreting Gochara effects,v/z., (a)the Ashtakavarga of the planet concerned and (b) the malefic or benefic nature of the place transited.
The following are the results likely to be produced by the Sun and other planets when they transit different signs from the sign occupied by the Moon at the time of birth.

The above results are general and they should be carefully applied to individual horoscopes in the light of directional influences and Ashtaka-varga dispositions. When there are no combinations for incarceration in the birth of horoscope, imprisonment indicated by a transit should not be predicted. Similarly when there are no powerful yogas in the radical chart, reputation, fame, etc., denoted by a transit will have a very limited scope for expression.
When a planet transits a Rasi, declared favourable and has less than 4 bindus in his own Ashtakavarga, the favourable results will be minimum. If the number \*4, they will be optimum and if more than 4 the maximum. Similarly if a planet transits an unfavourable place, but has bindus in it, the malefic effects are proportionately reduced, depending upon the number of bindus in it. Conversely, a favourable transit in a Rasi devoid of bindus reduces the benefic effects while an unfavourable transit in such a Rasi will further increase the malefic effects.
For example, in the Standard Horoscope, the Sun's transit of Aries (3rd from Moon) should prove favourable. In the Sun's own Ashtaka-varga, there are 5 bindus in Aries. Therefore the good effects produced should be to the extent of 62%. The Sun's transit of Capricorn (12th from the Moon) should prove adverse. Capricorn has no bindus. Therefore the evil results to be produced by this transit are to the brim.
This is only a general method of gauging the extent of benefic or malefic results a transiting planet is capable of.

According to classical texts, the following results are supposed to be produced when planets transit Rasis with different bindus.
In Sun's Ashtakavarga, when the Sun transits a Rasi having 8 bindus, the effects will be wealth and prosperity and royal favour ; 7— welfare, happiness and pomp ; 6—rising power; 5—wealth; 4—both good and bad will be equal; 3—fatigue through journey ; 2—sinful actions ; 1—severe sickness, and no bindu—death.
Similarly in Moon's Ashtakavarga when Moon transits a Rasi with 8 bindus—happiness, prosperity and help from relatives ; 7—gain of clothes, agreeable food and gain of perfumes ; 6—study of Mantras and association with religious beads; 5—courage and mental satisfaction; 4—misery and ill-health ; 3—quarrels with relations ; 2—quarrels brought about by one's wife and one's wealth; 1—irreparable losses; and no bindu—sorrow and extreme panic.
When Mars transits a Rasi with 8 bindus— gain of landed property and moneys, acquisition of a house and victory ; 7—prosperity through brothers ; 6—favourthrough kings ; 5—pleasing experiences ; 4—good and bad in equal proportion ; 3—separation from brothers and women ; 2—quarrels due to wife and wealth ; 1—disease ; as smallpox, etc.; and no bindu—disease in the stomach, fits and exhaustion.
When Mercury transits a Rasi with 8 bindus —respect from rulers; 7—increase of wealth and learning ; 6—success attending all efforts ,' 5— reconciliation with relations ; 4—want of spirit in everything ; 3—anxiety through disturbed thoughts ; 2—diseases caused by mental worry ; 1—imprisonment by force and unexpected calamities ; and no bindu—unexpected loss of everything and consequent mental worries.
When Jupiter transits a Rasi with 8 bindus— sovereignty, ownership and kingly prosperity; 7—gain of wealth and happiness; 6—gain of 130
Asbtakavarga
clothes, vehicles and gold ; 5—ruin to enemies, accomplishment of desired objects ; 4—gain and loss in equal measure ; 3—nervous debility and ear diseases; 2—royal frowns; 1—loss of wealth and relations ; and no bindu—derangement of the mind, loss of wealth and children.
When Venus transits a Rasi with 8 bindus— comfort from good clothes, women, flowers and wholesome food; 7—gain of ornaments and pearls ; 6—happiness from agreeable wife ; 5-meeting with friends ; 4—equal dose of good and .bad ; 3—quarrel with the people of the locality and relatives; 2—diseases and dismissal from service ; 1—fear from water and poison ; and no bindu—all sorts of calamities.
When Saturn transits a Rasi with 8 bindus— acquisition of administrative control over a village or town ; 7—acquisition of servants and domestic animals ; 6—popularity with thieves, hill tribes and armychief; 5—gain of gYain ; 4—good and bad equal; 3—loss of wealth, servants, women and happiness; 2—imprisonment, fear and disease ; 1—dirty fallen life ; and with no bindu—ill-luck in everything.
